Yamaha 40hp Missing

Hi i have a problem with my 40veto 6h4 outboard can anyone tell me what year it is the problem i have is it misses and stalls at idle and low rmp once it is up and running there is no problem any ideas

I am in Australia the number was 40VETOL also a M in the bottom right corner of the serial plate

I do not know the year , but sounds like your carbs need to be pulled and cleaned

Thanks i'll give it a go just reading all the other Threads on 40hp yamy missing seemed to end up electrical
