Repair for leaky oil resevior on motor

I've had problems with a leaky oil resevior I've tried wrap ties but it still leaks.I took a piece of oil absorb pad and wrap tied it right under the cap where the leak is.It seems to be working I'm guessing I'll need to change it but no more leak.
