  • water in the tank

    Good day all

just a quick question, I have a Yamaha 150 2 stroke engine today at sea the engine suddenly jammed n wouldn’t work later on i discovered that there was a lot of water in the fuel tank also the separator had water in it, later own the engine even stopped firing, if water has reached to the engines will it will affect it since its not 4 stroke? What should I do?

I'm not sure what "jammed" means, but probably nothing good. I'd pull the boat out of the water and remove all gas/water out of tank, lines, carbs, filters, everywhere. Check and clean spark plugs, put in some fresh gas and see if it'll run. Hope motor's not seized up. Good luck and let us know what you find!
