starter on 25 HP

My starter will not stop. I have checked the switch and found it to be working with an ohmeter. I disconnected the switch and when I connect the battery the starter goes right away. Help?

Possible starter solenoid bad.

Same problem

Had the same problem on a 2001 25hp 4 stroke Yiamie. I replaced the solenoid, all good. It happened at around 400 hours.
