1991 yamaha 150tlrp poppit valve

Can anyone help me locate this pressure control valve and how to change/inspect it ? What is the purpose of this valve ??
Can it cause overheat conditions on the motor. And will I need a gasket to replace if I disassemble it ??

should be under computer on rear of block,look for 3/4 sized hose
if stuck open can cause overheat
cheap enough to replace with new revised prv
