Yamaha 40 question

A few guys in my area have Yamaha 40's that they have put Yamaha 70 carbs on. Has anyone here ever done that, and what is the good, bad, and ugly scoop on it. I need a few more ponies from my 40, and was considering this mod. Also, what parts are needed besides the 70 carbs? Linkage, exhaust upgrades, etc.
