  • New here and wanted to say hello before I ask you guys a question

I have a 2005, 200 HP with digital guages and I'm having an issue with my trim guage.
The problem I'm having is that the trim reading on the guage is inaccuate and slow to respond to movement of the cam arm sending unit.

Since the guage is digital it doesn't have the standard needle that moves, it has graph bars. The problem is that if the guage is showing at a point and say I trim it down the guage may or may not show trimming it up for a few seconds, and them may or may not move down where it is suppose to be.

I hope I didn't make this too confusing, and thanks for any insight or ideas of where the problem may lie.

go to the motor on the port side you will see it
I'm assuming you are talking about the sending unit. It is free and the first thing I did was spay it with corrosionX and make sure it moved properly.
It gives me a reading on the guage but the reading isn't correct, it floats up and down.
My question is is it a faulty sending unit or guage
