I have a Scout 162 SF powered by a Yamaha 75hp electric start outboard-All was working fine until yesterday when I took the battery out so I could powerwash the boat. I marked all the leads I disconnected prior to removing the battery. When I was hooking it back up, there was a spark when I connected the negative cable. Now I have absolutely no power and nothing works. The battery is still charged. The *****ing motor still works, but it has a separate battery which I left connected. Any suggestions?

Recheck battery cable connections are connected properly, check fuses on engine probably blown.

ok--we found a fuse in the motor that was blown. replaced it and now the motor will crank but still have no dash lights, nav lights, pumps, etc. -- I guess now I have to find a circuit breaker or a fuse somewhere that I've missed-- thanks for the help --I really appreciate it
