  • squeal from throttle

I heard a squeal from the throttle the other day, almost like a radio making that squelching sound. Its some kind of audio sound rather than a mechanical sound. I don't have a clue what kind of audio can or should ever come out of a throttle quadrant. I have a 1984 yamaha 90 hp out board on a 17 whaler. when you turn the engine off, the sound goes away and it does not happen frequently too. I have been out almost every weekend this summer and this is the first time this has happened. It comes and goes even while riding along. Anybody ever heard of this? Thanks

probably a over temperature or low oil level alarm is coming in. It is a buzzer type on alarm sound from the control
