Just trying to ressurect my UK model 85AET (688 series) outboard after sitting idle for about 10 years! I have had the lower unit and the water pump rebuilt and I re-assembled it today. When running on muffs there is water coming from a slot between the mid-section and the lower unit at the back, is this normal? I can't recall it happening before! The tell tale is flowing nicely but I haven't run it for very long yet to see what happens when it gets warm.
