  • Trim Sender Cam 225 V-Max

As I have read other people posts about the plastic trim sender cam breaking, My question is how do you replace it? Can the new plastic cam be slipped over the shaft it clamps to or do you need to pull the shaft and slip it over it so it doesn't break when you try to open the cam far enough to slip it over the shaft. I have also seen post were is a metal replacement? How would this one get put on and is it any better? Why would this plastic piece break in the first place? Raising the motor to high? Also there seems to be a larger hole in the shaft that the cam clamps to for some limited amount of adjustment... This seems as an easy enough replacment part.

Order part number 99999-03830-00 the new metal trim cam, it's easy to install and will solve the breaking issues.

What is the part # for the metal replacement that will fit a 2004 150 HPDI?
      Thanks!
