88 model 150hp not firing on #2 & #4 cylinders

Been having problems with 88 model 150 yamaha
First had bad cdi unit which caused no fire on #2,4,6 cylinders
Replaced cdi unit and 2 weak coils on #2,4
Ran fine till we started coming in and then we lost some power
Got in and checked fire--#2 & #4 no fire checked coils they were good
Assuming we blew another cdi unit
Could this be a bad stator causing this or possibly a short somewhere?
It is getting very frustrating and expensive
