Oil Leak

Have a new 250 4 stroke with 20 hrs. When washing boat/motor after a day of fishing, discovered a small amount of oil had leaked onto the boat from the tilted engine. Found oil laying inside the engine compartment. Has anyone on this site had the same experience? Any suggestions as to what the problem may be? Getting ready to contact an authorized Yamaha service center for the 20 hr service but would like to have more knowledge about this before I take the boat in for service.

Make sure oil level is not overfull, tilt engine slightly(about 3/4 up in trim range) for 5 minutes to allow any oil trapped in valve cover to drain back into oil pan. Trim motor back down until level and check oil level to see if overfull.
