  • pitch change or not ?

just purchased Sailfish 188 cc w/ 2000 115 2 stroke, thinking about changing to stainless prop, existing prop is factory matched to boat with 13" dia. X 19" pitch. If I get ss prop should I drop pitch some or stay with 19" on new ss prop ?
thanks mods and what a great site

If it is fixed, go ahead and break it.

You can go through a lot of time and money to get a prop that will work.

Most prop sites recommend a lowering in pitch when going to stainless.
Check this site to see what they ran for tests.

be careful yamaha motors are made to run at certain rpms and if not may cause harm to the motor.
