yamaha fuel management gauge dual eng.

I replaced my gauge because the numerals were fading and diffcult to read. However now the
PS (port/starboard) letters don't appear and when I press the set button it doesn't do anything. Also I think I am getting the fuel flow numbers fron only the port engine. I'm thinking that I bought a single engine gauge rather than the dual but everything appears to be the same including number and color of the wires. Is it possible to tell them apart ? If that's not the problem what should I re-check from the installation ? thanks

Look to see if green/white wire is connected to stbd tach.You should be able to press the set button to toggle from port eng. to stbd eng. or P S for both.

The green/white wire is wired to the starboard tach. What next?
