  • Stalls when I put it in gear.

    I have a Pro V 200 (91)
I have changed both fuel pumps.
Removed, disassembled, and cleaned all three carbs individually and re-installed and re-adjusted.
    I have replaced fuel filters.
    I have replaced Primer ball.
I have used a different source for fuel (Jerry Can).
    All plugs have been replaced.
Compression is at 110 for all pistons.
It starts great. Idles..well a little low. As soon as it's in gear it stalls.
Is there anything else that I can do??
    Thanks!...?

Synchronization may be off, air leak in intake or reed valves.

ProV 200 stalling out problem FIXED!

If you recall the saga with my 200...check the threads and post for all of my 'fixes'. Here is what the problem was...
Two of the six spark plug cable caps were arcing and I replaced the caps with NGK caps (as long as they match your plugs-your good to go) The problem was still there-started by rough idle and stall in gear. I found out that if the cable cap arcs then it ruins the plug!
Replaced the plugs (all six to be safe) and yippee-ky-eh!! (EH? because I'm a Canuck....a very happy Canuck!!)
Our J-Craft/ProV 200 is giving the Nautiques and MasterCrafts an awesome run for the money now!
I hope this fix works out for somebody out there!!
      ...HIT IT!!

        Back to Square One!

        Ran out of gas!!
Went right back to square one with my problem!
I changed all plug caps and then ended up changing my plugs from the NGK BR9HS10 to CHAMPION MARINE QL77JC4.
so far I'm back in business!!....and spreading the word about CHAMPION!
