1984 115 Oil sending problem

My 84 115 stopped sending. I check wiring and everything looks ok. I'm guessing I'll need to replace the sending unit?

Problem is I may not have enough time to get repaired before trip to Canada.
Can I add oil to gas until I can get it in for service. If so, what ratio should I add.
It has never used much oil, and the motor has always been very dependable.

Could be oil level sensor in either of oil tanks, oil control module, bad wiring or oil transfer pump in boat oil tank.
Mix oil 50:1 ratio.
