  • speedometer hose : air or water (115HP)

    Hi there
I have a 2004 Yamaha 115 and my speedometer is not working any more.
The hose seems to be connected properly.
I tried to blow a bit of air directly in the indicator and I can read a speed so I know it's working and the problem should be within the hose or the pitot tube.

What do I need to check also?

Is it air or water that should go through the speedometer hose?

    Thanks

Try cleaning out the small hole located on the front of the drive housing above the prop. Just use a small drill and do it by hand- did mine this weekend and presto! This small hole can get clogged with debris!
