  • Starting sequence

I have a new/old boat w/ a 1987 150 yamaha on it. Sometimes it starts right away and somtimes it gives me trouble.

What is the proper starting sequence?

    This is what I'm doing.
    1. prime bulb until firm
    2. pull out manual choke
    3. push in throtle "unlock" buton
    4. Push throttle up and back a couple of times
    5. turn key

If it doesn't start repeat process from 1-5.
If it starts push in choke.

You don't have to push throttle back anf fourth, just give about 1/3 throttle and it should start up.
