  • Tilt Trunnion

Not sure if my terminology is correct. I'm concerned about how often the trunion pin going through the piston rod end on the tilt cylinder should be lubricated. How often (if ever) should this pin be romoved and greased? Looks easy enough to do. Remove the snap ring, tap the pin out. Do you lock the motor in up position and turn the relief screw to relieve pressure from the system before attempting to remove the pin? What about the lower pin that the trim/tilt assy is mounted to? Thanks guys!

It has nylon type bushings and will operate ok without grease but it is a good idea to grease yearly. It is easy to get out.

Easy to get out when new but mine is rusted and seized. Snap ring dissappeared years ago.
