  • Compression 150L

    Hi,
I have a 1987 150L the compression readings are all between 95 and 85 is this to low to run the motor.
    Thanks in advance

If those are accurate readings that's pretty low. I don't know how you quantify too low to run the motor. But I would not be surprised if the motor didn't run very strong. Stock compression is around 120 psi. Is that compression test done after the motor has warmed up? You might try a decarbonizing treatment with some Sea Foam (Advance Autoparts or CarQuest carries it...) and do a shock treatment with straight Sea Foam in the fuel/water seperator on the garden hose. See if that frees up the rings and boosts your numbers.
