9.9 carb rebuild problems

Encountered two problems in carb rebuild on 9.9 Yamaha 2001:
1. How to remove the float pin without damaging carb, so I can change needle valve.
2. How to remove air adjusting screw. It appears from schematic there is a cap over the screw, but I can't remove what I think is the cap (brass color with small hole).

Lightly tap out float pin with small punch just be carefull to punch out in right direction the head of pin is slighly larger on one end.
That carb is a EPA carb and pilot screw is not supposed to be adjusted so it has a tamper proof plug pressed in it.
