  • F300 - flywheel puller needed?

Anyone know if a flywheel puller is needed to get the flywheels off my F300s? F300s were made in 10/13, and are approaching 1100 hours (going to replace the timing belts). Thanks

Puller is not needed. Simply remove six bolts. The flywheel will lift off.

Are these high strength, close tolerance bolts? Are they reusable?

          DO NOT reuse the bolts.

Got it. Thanks. The new timing belts come with the 6 replacement flywheel bolts, and the service manual seems to do a good job explaining things, as this will be my first time doing this. I'm assuming it's ok to take these bolts off with an impact?

I remove them with an impact.
not a hard job, time is about 4 hr. make sure you follow the manual when setting it up for belt removal.

                Can they be reused? Yes,

Should they be reused? Yamaha says not to. Apparently torque to yield.
