225 etxd oil linkage adjustment...min..or maxx..?

I have to adjust the linkage on the oil pump,one place in the manual says to set it minnium and then...,and in another place it says to adjust it at maxium!Is there a savy master tech whom can set me straight on this. Thanks ,Raymond.

With throttle plates completely closed adjust oil pump lever so lever touches the stop. Then readjust idle.
