T8 tilt and Trim

I posted awhile back about trouble with my T8 not working properly turns out the guy who had it before me tryed fixing it. He must of felt yamaha put to many parts in there. He left a few parts out and added a teaspoon of sand in there. I got it cleaned out and all parts back in there. Its really close to working proper now. What I could use is just a little advice on getting it bleed out I just cant seem to get all the air out

I did not know a 8 had T&T.
But I would loosen the manual release and move the motor up and down by hand and fill when in the up position hoping to get all of the air out

I would think sand or any other debris would cause major problems inside a system like that

I wont recommend putting the sand in there. What a job getting it all cleaned out I did as you said its going better
