Which lower units will fit on a 1987 90 ETLH. Will newer lower units bolt up? After ordering the forward gear and clutch dog and recieving the wrong parts,( two many engagement dogs on gear and hub too small for bearing) I was made aware of the shift update for the older motors. After pricing everything I wind up just short of cost on a new lower unit. Only problem is Yamaha has none of the older ones in their warehouses. Part number same except for last two letters. I need the EK they only have the latter.
