Hi Folks
I have a 1995 Yamaha 115hp V4 outboard and have started to change out the morse cables for throttle and gear selection.
Firstly the little metal plate and screw are loose on the left hand side of the plastic moving piece. Should that the centralised to hold down the square piece of black plastic underneath and screwed down tight or left loose for movement?
Secondly during tear down a small ball bearing fell out of the control unit.
Now I have it on the desk there is no resistance to go from forward to neutral to reverse.
I am thinking the ball bearing should seat with a spring to ensure the control arm locks into neutral etc..
Can anyone confirm how I should rebuild this unit please?
Thanks
