Today I blew the motor on my 1992 50 hp, after battling a bad fuel enrichment valve that pumped to much fuel into cylinder #1 and toasted that piston. I have it almost apart so I can check the block just to see how bad this was. But I have been looking at options like rebuilt power head, new crank and piston assembly, and just parts for rebuild. I do know my block will dictate a lot when I see the condition of it apart, but do any of you have any advice, info for rebuilders, do's or dont's! How hard is a rebuild, I have done a lot of motors, but never a outboard. The crank assembly look tough!
