When i got up on plane today all seamed normal at 4500 rpm and 27 mph as i trimmed up there was a brief power loss which seemed to happen in the higher rpm range. Every time I touched trim switch it was as though it was shorting engine power? Help Ideas.. where to start?

check battery cables and all connections from battery to motor and everything in between.
Sounds possibly like voltage is dropping too low when T&T is energized.
Hopefully Rodbolt or someone else with knowledge of this motor and it's systems will chime inLast edited by 99yam40; 03-04-2015, 03:44 PM.

I agree 100% with 99Yam.
Classic indication of insufficient voltage from the battery to the motor when the trim and tilt unit is being used, in which case the battery has to supply the extra current needed.
