Best battery?
Hi All,
Further to Pleun's question, may I inquire as to what battery would be best for my 1999 Yamaha 130 BETOL 2 stroke?
I only have two night running lights other than the motor.
At present I am using a Bosch Sealed Maintenance Free, Lead Calcium Battery. It's been in the boat since the year 2000 (14 years!!), and starts the motor every time. I disconnect the battery and trickle charge it whilst not in use. Have had no problems up to now, but I think it may be time to renew it as I don't want to get stuck out in the middle of the lake! Is it better to use a deep cycle battery as the boat is only used about 4/5 times a year?
