Motor stopped running and won't start

I have a 2004 40 hp 4 cycle tiller. I was *****ing this morning and all of a sudden the engine quit running. The trim won't work either. When it quit running the motor had light white smoke and it smells like electrical issues. Did the fuse blow? What other problems could it be?
