Anyone ever heard of this engine?

I an have an 80AE(T) Yamaha outboard that I cannot find any reference on anywhere on the web. It was manufactured in 1983 and I need a replacement engine tilt hydraulic cylinder. I can't find it anywhere. HELP!!!

Try boats.net, but they dont even list it. The earliest they got is a Yamaha in 1984 but it doesnt list an 80hp either. I would call the boats.net customer service people. They probably could point you in right direction at least.

That engine was never sold here in the US might be similar to the 1984 90, 90ETLN but have no way of knowing.

Hopefully an item like a tilt cylinder may be interchangeable among models, but it could be difficult to prove without numbers. Maybe you could run a photo of your cylinder? Good Luck!
