Temp sender install 2004 115TLRC

Hi all, I'm looking to install a water temp gauge on to my boat and am having a difficult time locating a place to install a water temp sender. I have asked about this on a different forum but the only person responding doesn't own a Yammy but still gave me great advice. I'm currently down to two situations, find a location to install a threaded sender unit or continue my hunt for a engine temp sender. I can't find a contact type sender so I decided to see if you guys can find me a spot to thread in a temp sender before I go raging on the internet cause I can't find what I need. I've attached some pics so you can have some help in case you're not familiar with this motor, I haven't found much of any posts about it on this site yet. As always, thanks for the assistance.

On the top of the cylinder (both sides) is a plug, remove the plug and install the sensor there. Numbers 6 on the following diagram.
