I just bought a 1976 Mako that has a V6 Yamaha on it. My problem is(well one of them) The guy I bought it from told me the engine is a 175hp. The engine cover says 200hp, and the model number on the transom bracket is c150tlrw. which would leed me to beleive that its a 150hp. how can I tell for sure what motor I have?? Then I have to figure out why I cant get it to even fire at all! Thank you

That model number is a 1998 non-oil injected 150 hp long shaft model, there is no way of telling if someone changed out the powerhead.

It turns over by key. I have 115 to 125 psi compression in all cylinders. But I think I don't have spark on the left side top and bottom cylinders. I think it is really wierd though. Because I can't get it to kick at all. Not even on either??
Thank you
