Engine Dies

Yamaha Outboard 225hp Saltwater Series--Year 2000. Recent problem... when hitting waves hard engine cuts out but then comes back. Friend had similar problem, said it was the relay to the CDI Unit... part cost $250... replaced this weekend... took out for a test ride... problem is still there but not as frequent. Have tested all grounds... all look good. Engine has been well-maintained and exhibits no other problems. Two weekends ago, engine was cutting out all the time... now not as frequent but obviously the problem is still there. Any suggestions?

open and clean or replace VST filter... and get a new friend

Replaced the canister filter this week... haven't taken out yet... heading up to Boothbay, Maine on Saturday...hoping it does the trick! Thank you!!

you can monitor the rail pressure on the hose first to ensure you have a constant 35 lbs
what was the cond of the gas and filter in VST ?
