I have just perchased with a boat an old 28a outboard the person I got it of said it was running prior to a lay up and since then it was not pumping water. I inspected the water pump putting on a new impeller then had a look at the thermostat this was in a bad state so took it out to get a new one. I then while I had the bottom end of put a hose on to the intake tube in the leg of the motor to see if water was going round ( it was'nt ) so getting a bit braver put the power washer up this did the trick!! cough and splutter and water came out of the tell tail sucsess I thought cleared out a blockage, put it all back together again then thought I will change the plugs as well then here came the problem water came out of the plug holes as well !! Has anyone an idea what damage I may have done as I dont think water should be in there.
