    Trying to de-hurricane a 2007 60hp Four Stroke, USVI equivalent of a F60TLR

There is a special clip that keeps the push on fuel line attached to the rail:

On the Fuel Injection 2 Schematic, I think it would be at the end of #15, where it attaches to the fuel rail.

Anyone have a number for the clip parts only? Alternatively, do we know if they are included with #15?

15 is a clip. I am guessing that it is at the rail end of item 16. That is what the parts catalog depicts.

The retainer portion of the fitting (light blue) is not sold separately. It is part of the quick attach fitting at the end of the VST to FI rail high pressure hose. Which makes the hose so darn expensive

    6C5-13974-00-00 YAMAHA PIPE, FUEL 4

Those fittings look remarkably similar to some Ford EFI fittings. For instance

Some have been known to remove the quick disconnect fitting and simply attach the hose directly from the VST to the EFI fuel rail. Using a good quality fitting like an Oetiker clamp. Which is not even what Yamaha is using at the other end of the hose.

Pray tell what happened to the motor to result in the need for a new fitting? How you virgins holding up down there?

Yep, 16 is the number, thanks for the info.

Boat went inverted off the trailer for Irma, then righted during Maria. Probably going to let insurance buy it, but need it as a lifeline to the big island in the interim if I can coax it along enough until I find a replacement to ship down from the mainland.

Both trim tilt switches were shot, so I was swapping wires on the relay to get the boat on and off the trailer. Spark from that operation showed me I had a leak at this broken clip. Not sure if I just burned vapors or something else on the engine, maybe I'll try an alternate connection method and giving the engine a good workout before spending the $80.

I'm just a part timer, but things are still rough, building supplies and electricity are lacking (they don't expect electric on our little island until next year). At least they are going from pushing debris aside to actually clearing debris. People are tired of just getting by, but for the most part are staying Island Strong.

Just a follow up in case anyone is doing a search: thanks, boscoe99! That Dorman 800-080 Mopar fuel fitting worked perfectly along with a high quality full-wrap hose clamp. $8 instead of $85!

Thanks for the feed back. Glad it all worked out for you. At least the fuel fitting part.
