  • what is the TPS

    Hello,

How do you adjust the TPS settings?

What does the TPS do please?

The procedure for setting a TPS can vary from brand to brand and model to model. Other stuff might need to be reset in conjunction with the TPS. Need to know specifically what engine you are talking about.

A TPS is another name for a potentiometer. An input voltage is provided to the TPS. As the throttle is opened and closed it moves the TPS which changes the output voltage of the TPS. The computer on the motor looks at the voltage and then knows to what extent the throttle is open.

Many people like to tweak their doohickeys. I prefer someone else to do it.

The TPS is that report that Lumberg told you to finish up when you were in the office last Sunday.

I'll bet this question just about sent Rodbolt over the edge, laughing that is,
Just tweak the doohickey , see what happens.
