I have 2004 yamaha VZ150TLRC 2 yrs ago had oil level gsuge part no 67H 85730 02 00 replaced in side tank. Dumping excessive oil into engine.
Does the gauge just pull out the top of the tank?

why???
but if you must drain the tank first.retrieve the foam seal as nessasary.
ALWAYS use a new seal when reinstalling it.
yes it pulls straight up.
if you don't drain the tank first any debris in the tank now goes down the pump intake.
