I'm looking for opinions on motor oil for use in a late model F150. How many people use a marine oil and how many use an automotive oil. Also synthetic or semi, or oil.

I am just interested in what other people are using. I for one will not use yamalube because I think that I can get as good or better oil for a better price.Comment

I have used Castrol GTX in 4-stroke outboards with good results.
I think a good quality oil changed every 100 hours is the important
thing.Comment

When it comes to oil, my recommendation is to use it.
Just use any brand that meets the grade and weight specifications set forth by Yamaha in the service manual.
Preference for oil is like preference for colour. Some like blue, some like yellow, some like red. All are equally good colours.
When it comes to oil you have choices.
