  • 2008 F350 and Command Link Plus

I have twin 2008 F350TXR's with the square command link gauges. I purchased the Command Link Plus (CLP) LCD display to replace the square gauges. Looking at the rigging diagram for twins with CLP, there should be a dedicated CLP connection coming out from the binnacle. I was able to locate the two CL connections but could not find the CLP one. Question... are there CL only binnacles? If so, do I have to purchase a CLP binnacle or is there an adapter I can purchase? Finally, can I even use the CLP LCD on this generation of F350? The part number on the side of my binnacle is 6X6-B-0500115.

I appreciate any help I can get...

Both the control box and the motors themselves must have have CL+ capability in order for the CL+ display to be used.

If you do not find a six pin CL+ connector dangling from the bottom of your control box it is probable that you don't have a CL+ control box.

Thank you very much. Looks like I do not have the CLP like I hoped I had. Guess I'll sell on eBay and recoup as much as I can. According to my research, the command link digital 6YC display should work, is this correct? If it does, I'd like to network two together since I have a decent amount of dash space. Is there anything I need to know before proceeding? Thanks again, I really appreciate your help!

The 6YC display will work on a Command Link network. CL+ is not required.

The 6YC won't have as much functionality as would the CL+ display.
