  • YAMAHA 6Y8 digital instrument STOLEN

Hello , yesterday someone stole all the instruments from my boat.
    I have a question.. I have a 2009 F250BETX and a 6x6 electronic single Engine Binnacle Control Box.
I need to buy 2 new rectangle instrument 6y8 (speed+fuel and tach) but I have a problem.
I need to buy a new power cable for the hub and also I need to connect the hub do the binnacle.
Thief cut the cable so I have no the 4-pin plug from the binnacle but only these 2 wire : blue-green and white-green
can I buy a standard device cable (4-pin) and cut a plug from the end and connect only these 2 wire? I have no 4 wire.. only 2.. so I dont understand really well the situation
thank you very much for your help

Can you take some more photos of the control box so that we can see exactly what the situation is?

Command Link Plus will not play with an F250B model. Only with the V6 F225/250/300 models and the latest V8 F350 models.

You cannot use the Command Link Plus rectangular colour display. The data comes from the engine to the control box and to the gauges. Your motor simply does not transmit CL+ data.

Here is an arrangement drawing that depicts all of the stuff necessary to connect CL gauges to an F250B model.

The link below is a place that might be able to sell you a replacement connector for the one that was stolen.

This looks to me like it might be the connector.

                        4P090WP-MT Connector Set $5.95 ea

Call the folks and see if they can confirm it or not.

You could always hard wire the system since you are half way now to being there.

thank you really much!! I have found and old device connector so I use it and hard wire the white with white/green and blu with blue/green.. now I need only the instruments :-/

another question... now when I start the engine I dont listen the characteristic sound "BIP".. why?
I think that sound is made from key block.. are there any other wire missing?

Single engine Yamaha's don't beep when the key is turned on if that is what you are describing.

Your engine has an electronic throttle valve that makes a noise that is sometimes heard but if the motor is starting it seems that the valve must be working.

in the past I listen a BIP.. now it is mute..
I think it is from the key block .. I see in the back a little speaker with 2 cable yellow and pink.. but now it dont work..
