  • Help to identify this engine

I am thinking about buying a 4 stroke yamaha engine with this reg:

    F100AET 67F X 705358 R
The seller pretends it's a 2011 model year but i have some doubts.
    Could someone help me ?
    Thanks

I have more than doubts. It is not a 2011 model year motor.

It is a 2002 model year motor. A motor with carburetors. All F100's by 2011 use fuel injected.

It is the equivalent of an F100TLRA that was sold here in the USA.

Thanks for your answer. I have seen here in Thailand a F100BETL from 2013 with carburettors . They are still for sale at watchara marine ( yamaha dealer).
I have sent a couple of mails to them but they never replied.

By the way , do you have any idea of the last year yamaha manufactured those F100AETX ?

Yes, carbureted engines are still available outside of the USA. In higher HP models that is. Here in the US only the smaller HP models are available with carburetors.

I have no idea when the last F100AETX was available. This particular model was never offered here in the US.

thank you for your kind answers. Do know if there is someone by yamaha who could have a look in their data base to check this out? Is there any mail adress that I could send my questions?
            Best regards

I am in the US. Yamaha USA won't have a clue about your specific questions.

Only Yamaha Japan will know for sure. And they don't/won't usually respond to people. They will refer you to your local dealer who more than likely won't know.

The snippet I provided is from a Yamaha document. It shows your motor by serial number as being a 2002 model. And I bet it has carburetors. Isn't that your question?

The other side of the motor should have a decal that shows the month and year of manufacture. Why not get the owner of the motor to take a photo of the decal and send it to you? It will look like this:
