  • identify this part?

I recently changed the two thermostats on my yamaha F250TXR. The next day I found this part that seems to be some airt of gasket on my deck. Can anyone id this part and tell me where the heck it goes? I would hate to breakdown the engine again to attempt to figure it out.
I hope someone can identify it.

    Thanks

Looks to me to be an intake manifold gasket.

Thanks, you are correct. I showed the part to a shop that sells yamaha parts and the guy behind the counter was adamant that it was not #13. I guess he is wrong. I just removed the intake and one gasket was missing.
      I really appreciate your help.

Glad you found the problem. Not good for the motor to be run with a missing gasket.

Why was the intake manifold removed by the way?

I changed the thermostats. The only way to access the starboard thermostat is to removed the starboard intake manifold. Unless I overlooked a n easier way?

you definatly overlooked an esier way.
            glad ya caught it.
only thing you may have noticed would be a slight increase in idle speed, possibly a MAP code, then a burned valve.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad that I found it, a burnt valve sounds like a pricey fix.
I would like to know an easier way to get to the starboard thermostat for next time that I have to change it. Thanks.
