  • Analog Multi function tach

I received some mixed parts when I recently purchased a 1994 TLRQ 70. I don't have a problem with the tach or light function, but the warning indictors don't match the diagram in service manual. It looks like the red and black wires are for overheat yellow and black for low oil, and I'm not sure about the green and black. Or perhaps they are for the level of oil in the tank? Can someone point me to a connection diagram for this tach? The oil level switch and temp sensor bullet connectors at the motor are green, and green w red stripe. thanks Marty

What service manual are you looking at? What is the identity of the manual and what page are you on?

A 70TLRQ is a 1992 model year motor by the way.

Let us see some clear pictures of the connectors at the end of the tachometer wire leads and the connectors that should be laying loose and unconnected in the front of your engine pan.

Take a look at page 8-6 of the SM and see what is to be seen.

        Thanks
