    Anyone know y a tilt trim motor would just stop working?
    Not a fuse.
    Button makes loud klick and nothing!

    It was working fine I was tilting it up and it just stopped!
    No funny noises or anything, just stopped!

      Checked motor leads nothing, bad motor.
      New one is $627.30 from yamaha.
      OUCH THAT HURTS!!!

        most likely the thermal overload contacts are open.
        may be repairable.

          Thank you rodbolt I've got it apart right now and one of the brushes was seized. cleaning it up now! There was a lot of black dust build up but the brushes were barely worn. Is that normal?

            Got the motor reinstalled it works great!

            It didn't at first but I found out y, when you replace your tilt trim motor make shore you get your connector, shaft (#91 on parts diagram) lined up or your new or rebuilt motor will be about as useful as teats on a boar hog.

              Power tilt and trim ass.
              Those are the part numbers that I've been working on, thought it would be relevant if someone would have the same problem. I saved myself over $700 dollars in parts and labor. Hopefully someone else can do the same.
              Boats are expensive enough without spending money on a little bit of dust build up.
