    reverse on yamaha 70 autolube gearbox not working

    Please somebody help, with the 703 control lever in middle it should be in neutral my engine is still in gear pull lever back further so engine should be in reverse then engine is in neutral pull lever right back and engine just revs and i have no reverse gear,the con*****s do as they should everything lines up under cowling, i have run out of ideas,please help,roy.

    I don't know the answer but I can tell you, when someone who does have the knowledge, they'll want the model #, year, etc.

      my guess would be the shift shaft failed.
