  • Yamaha Pro v 200 Bogging down

I have a 1999 Pro V 200 carb'ed motor. It idles good, WOT good and almost everything in between is good. However when getting up on plane theres a spot maybe 1/4 to 3/8s throttle where the motor just boggs down for 1 to 3 seconds then it takes off and is fine. It's not a hugh deal but it bugs me. I've re-built the carbs. Cleaned with heated ultrasonic, parts were genuine Yamaha kits. Replaced the fuel pumps. I checked the timing and its within spec. (if I checked it right). Any ideas or experience with this issue???

    Thanks in advance!

how are you advancing the throttle when this happens.
    granny style or slamming it?

        no granny shifts.
        NO granny throttle ups.
hit the gas like you stole it.

        bet the problem goes away.

if your car had NO transmission it would do the same thing.

next time you drive a stick shift, select the highest gear and take off and see if the engine reacts differently.
