  • Slow shipping from boats.net

Their website states there may be delays due to implementing a new system...they weren't lying!

Ordered last Sunday, They claimed it would ship on Tuesday but as of Saturday I still did not receive it. Bummer, I'd really like to get my boat running again!

Amazon used to be QUICK but the last few thing I ordered from them took a while too. I guess I just need more patience!

      No complains here...
About 1 month did a order do delivery in a Hotel in MD where friend were for business trip and took around 1 week the delivery (accepteble in my opinion)

You should get a quick/expensive devilery method if you are in hurry.

      Good luck with your order.

They are always notoriously slow. Never have anything in stock. I only use them when I can afford to wait a week or ten days.

I truly don't think they keep much in stock, even tho they say they have a multi-million dollar inventory. I doubt it.

          you aint seen slow yet.
order 7.5x54 French ammo or 8x56r ammo or even some IMR 4350 or IMR4064 .
          then you will see slow.
          even 155gr .308 bullets or .330 bullets.
          \
I got a military shoot that the normal rules changed coming up and I gotta practice.
          no bullets.
          no loaded ammo.

1 week of good weather brought out many who just realized they still own a boat.

Gun control? Who needs gun control?

They will just control the ammo...that will surely fix the problem...

Thanks but I think it would be better if they would just hurry the hell up with my stuff!!

They keep very little in stock.
They receive your order, pass it on to Yamaha, Yamaha fills it, ships it back to Boats.net, they receive it, they ship it to you.

My current order was placed on 4-6, in the evening, fresh for Monday morning, I still don't have it.

It was Evinrude parts, head gasket, bolts. Evinrude whse is in Ft. Lauderdale, they are literally less than 100 miles away, and I live in Florida.

Should be very quick, but it always is 7-10 days.

I can get it quickly from my dealer. She orders it before noon, it is there the next day, but I have to drive 80 miles round trip to go get it.
                  Also, I don't get the Boats.net 25% discount.

I don't like their service, but I still use them.

                    WHUUUUUT???????
                    yamaha and EVANRUDES share NOTHING.

BRP and Yamaha so far, share nothing.
back ordered and NLA is just that.
try to get a new F350.
try to get a new SHO F250.

try to get 7.5x54 French ammo from buffalo arms.

try to get saeco mould handles.
at least graf&sons had 7.5x54 brass so I could eventually play with my new toy.

the backorder from buffalo has been since January.

two of the SHO motors we simply lost the sale, they repowered with E-Tecs.

the F350 we may lose the sale.

not our fault that even though its advertised on the net, its simply not avalible.

BTW Buffalo arms and Graf&sons are both fine places to shop ,colt at buffalo arms is a good guy.

I am well aware of that. This is a discussion of Boats.net, who I use even tho I don't like to. I hold my nose when I place orders there.

I order all brands from them, Ev, Suz, Merc, Yam. It just so happens that my current order is for Ev parts.

It is a completely different business model at boats.net

Want it tomorrow then walk/drive to the nearest brick and mortar dealer and be prepared to pay full retail (maybe more) plus expedited shipping charges. Walk/drive back the next day to pick up the parts. Oh, this assumes that Yamaha/Suzuki/Mercury etc. have the part in their inventory.

You will feel that the dealer has "ripped you off".

Inventory is a bad thing these days. No one wants to stock zip.

Not in a rush, then order from boats.net, relax, and be prepared to wait. You will feel that the service is not very good. You will feel they don't "care".

Unfortunately, we want it all. Better prices and better service. These are contradictory terms.

We have met the enemy. He are us.

Well just bitching about it makes me feel better. PLUS I wrote a polite email to them letting them know how disappointing I was, they responded with...
