i have a 50hp auto-lube hedo 6h5-l if i had a air lock how would i bleed the system .i also noticed that the engine is over heating water stopped coming out pea hole ,i checked impeller seem to be fine i checked thermostat all rusty and seized and manky .would the thermostat have caused it to heat up ?

A locked up, closed thermostat will indeed cause the overheating, its not allowing water flow to the powerhead once the engine is warmed up..

I'd flush it as best as possible while the thermostat is out being changed.

Don't know about bleeding the oil system but running pre-mix at the same time would protect the engine.

What makes you think you have air in the system? Did it run dry or you change out a hose?

nice thing about the inline 2 and 3 cyl motors? the oiling system is self bleeding.
however we have NO clue what your talking about that is airlocking.
